This year {and every year hereafter} our advent calendar has become a Christmas to-do list of sorts.
Candy and cheap toys are out.
Daily Christmas-ing is in.
I used old {read, ugly} gift tags. Each pocket/day has a different holiday happening on it.
My plan was to take pictures {because I've been lacking in my photography as of late} of our daily doings.
I had the best intentions.
Really I did.
And yet, here we are. Day six and nada.
Let's catch up...
{Day 1}
We kicked off December with our first holiday party of the season.
(Does anyone else think my twinsies are starting to look more like twinsies?!)
{Day 2}
Friday nights are typically movie nights around these parts.
We rented Rudolph and turned it into a holiday theme.
{Day 3}
We visited the tree lot (ok. so it was just Lowe's) and picked out a tree.
{Day 4}
Decorated said tree.
{Day 5}
Made reindeer ornaments for tree.
(Yes. I really stretched this tree thing out...)
{Day 6}
Visited Santa and watched the Elf puppet show at Oakland House.
Harrison decided he would be responsible for narrating the entire thing (I was late in turning on the video but him ripping open the snaps on his longall and saying "oh man" had me dying)
